Kristin Hannah is a New York Times Bestselling Author from California. The Nightingale is her most recent novel, and regards rural and city life in France with a WW2 backdrop. My favourite aspect of this novel is the emphasis it places on female strength. Read my review here.

Maggie Stiefvater is an American author and car enthusiast. Her 4-book series The Raven Cycle begins with The Raven Boys, is followed by The Dream Thieves and Blue Lily, Lily Blue, and concludes with The Raven King. I read all four books this year, The Raven King upon its release, and it quickly became my favourite series of all time.

We Were Liars is a YA novel that was released in 2014, and is told from an unreliable perspective. This book focusses a lot on crime, self-acceptance, and the gravity of some mistakes. It was the winner of the Goodreads Choice Award for Young Adult Fiction. Read my full review here.
