-Kristin Hannah, The Nightingale

Kristin Hannah is a New York Times Bestselling Author from California. The Nightingale is her most recent novel, and regards rural and city life in France with a WW2 backdrop. My favourite aspect of this novel is the emphasis it places on female strength. Read my review here.

He was a book, and he was holding his final pages, and he wanted to get to the end to find out how it went, and he didn’t want it to be over.

– Maggie Stiefvater, The Raven King

Maggie Stiefvater is an American author and car enthusiast. Her 4-book series The Raven Cycle begins with The Raven Boys, is followed by The Dream Thieves and Blue Lily, Lily Blue, and concludes with The Raven King. I read all four books this year, The Raven King upon its release, and it quickly became my favourite series of all time.
