So, I was scrolling through Twitter the other day when I saw something very exciting…
A lot of people were re-Tweeting a message from Nicola Yoon, author of Everything, Everything (my review of which you are able to read here.) You can see it below:
I am so happy!
There is a special place in my heart for Everything, Everything, due to it being the first ARC I ever read and reviewed. To see it brought to life on screen will be a dream come true! (As I promptly tweeted out, as you can see below, to which Nicola Yoon herself replied! *swoon* It’s always nice to be noticed by your favourite authors!)
Not only has the movie itself been announced, but so have the two main parts!
Amandla Stenberg (who we all loved in The Hunger Games, don’t even try and deny it) will play Madeline, our protagonist, who is – in short – allergic to the world. Nick Robinson (star of Jurassic World and my personal favourite credit of his, sitcom Melissa and Joey) will be playing Olly, her mysterious, tall-dark-handsome love interest.
Boy, am I excited!
Both actors are extremely capable of taking on these roles, in my opinion, and so all that’s left to do now is eagerly wait to see how they interpret and perform them.
The script was written by J. Mills Goodroe, who also wrote The Age of Adaline which I adored, so I am confident he will do the book justice.
Exciting times ahead…
Thank you for reading! What book-movie adaptations are you looking forward to?
